A motorist received minor injuries Monday afternoon in Dunn County when a chunk of snow and ice smashed through his windshield after becoming dislodged from the roof of an oncoming vehicle.
The Dunn County Sheriff’s Department found a motor vehicle that had sustained damage on Highway B north of 730th Avenue in the town of Tainter at 4:25 p.m. Monday
An investigation showed that a 1998 Buick was southbound on Highway B when it met a medium-sized, northbound truck. A large chunk of snow and ice flew from the roof of the truck and went through the windshield of the Buick, causing minor injuries to the driver.
The sheriff’s office is asking motorists to slow down and take time to clean off vehicles before traveling on the highways.
