CHIPPEWA FALLS — A Cadott man was arrested in Chippewa Falls on suspicion of his seventh drunk-driving offense.

Stanley O. Johnson, 62, 1268 220th St., was taken to the Chippewa County Jail at 3:37 a.m. Wednesday, county records show.

Johnson appeared for a bond hearing Wednesday morning on possible charges of OWI-7th offense, operating after revocation, and a probation hold. Judge Steve Gibbs ordered Johnson be held on a $2,000 cash bond. Johnson remains in the jail at this time. He will return to court Dec. 7.

The Chippewa Falls Police Department was the arresting agency. A police report of the incident wasn't immediately available.

Online court records show Johnson was convicted of his sixth drunk-driving offense in Eau Claire County Court in 2019 and was ordered to serve at least six months in jail and three years of probation. He was convicted of his fifth offense in Eau Claire County Court in 2006.
