EAU CLAIRE — The Eau Claire school board this evening is slated to discuss how the school district supports students’ social and emotional health.

The board is scheduled to meet this evening at 7 p.m. at the district administration building, 500 Main St., room 137. Masks are required for people attending in person; people will also be able to watch a livestream of the meeting.

School administrators will talk in detail about the district’s framework and the data it uses to shape students’ environment and supports, according to the meeting agenda.

The board is also slated to discuss whether or not the district is following its equity requirement. That requirement includes the superintendent creating an equity plan for the district, spanning annual, five, 10 and 20-year goals, as well as other equity goals.

The district in July said it was creating a new committee to guide its equity efforts. The committee will advise the district as it reviews existing policies and forms a three- to five-year equity plan.
