Bolton Refuge House launched a statewide fundraising campaign this week to pay part of the costs for an addition to its domestic abuse shelter in downtown Eau Claire.

The Pave the Way campaign has a goal of raising $300,000 through the sale of brick pavers engraved with donors' names that will become part of a walkway outside the addition.

Pavers are available in three sizes, ranging in donation price from $600 to $1,000 to $1,500.

Donors can select a brick paver, specify their engraved message and make a donation online via PayPal or print out an order form at the website pavetheway.donationbricks.com.

Donations using that online form can be mailed to Bolton Refuge House-Paver Sale, P.O. Box 482, Eau Claire, WI 54702-0482.

Those with questions on the campaign can email pavetheway@boltonrefuge.org.

The building addition's total budget is $880,000 — two-thirds of which has already been raised by the organization.

Bolton Refuge House plans to break ground on the new wing in April at its shelter on South Farwell Street and have it complete by December 2019.
