CHIPPEWA FALLS — A Chippewa Falls company received a check for $115,848 on Tuesday, which represents the incentive for switching to large solar panels.

General Beverage, 2200 Lake View Drive, was presented the check by Focus on Energy during a ceremony at the company.

The estimated life-cycle energy savings for General Beverage from this project is 7,426,150 kilowatt hours, according to a Focus on Energy statement. That’s enough to provide electricity to 828 homes for a full year, and equates to more than 6 million pounds of coal burned.
