CHIPPEWA FALLS — A former Chippewa Falls man who is a Level 3 sex offender will be released from prison Dec. 18 and will be returning to the Chippewa County area to live.

Austin J. Wooley, 24, formerly of 20 Well St., has been incarcerated in the Jackson Correctional Institution in Black River Falls. He was convicted of third-degree sexual assault in 2013 and possession with the intent to deliver marijuana in 2014. 

The state Department of Corrections does not have a permanent address for Wooley and will consider him homeless once released. He is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, 137 pounds, with brown hair, hazel eyes and a right shoulder tattoo.

Wooley was convicted of sex offenses involving adolescent females. The DOC will continue to supervise him until Dec. 19, 2020.

Wooley’s conditions of supervision will prohibit him from unsupervised contact with minors and contact with his victims. He is restricted from being on the property of any schools, parks or day care centers. He must comply with standard sex offender requirements: GPS monitoring, face-to-face contact with law enforcement and state sex offender registrant for life.
