Ten people running for five Eau Claire City Council seats will speak at a March 21 evening forum at Chippewa Valley Technical College's Business Education Center, 620 W. Clairemont Ave.
Starting at 6:30 p.m. in the building's commons area, candidates will take turns answering questions posed by a moderator. After the forum, there will be a time for attendees to meet the candidates.
This forum was originally scheduled for Thursday night, but was postponed due to a snowstorm that created hazardous driving conditions.
Prior to the March 12 forum, the current field of 12 candidates will be winnowed to 10 through a Feb. 19 primary election.
The 12 candidates running in that primary are incumbents Catherine Emmanuelle and Kate Beaton, former Councilman David Klinkhammer, and newcomers Kirk Ausman, Chandler Lorentz, Kate Martin, Donald Motzing, Laura Benjamin, Dale Poynter, Echo Reardon, John Lor and Kyle Woodman.
The spring election that will ultimately decide who will serve in the council's five at-large seats will be on April 2.
