An Eau Claire man is accused of beating another man outside an Eau Claire tavern.
The other man sustained significant facial injuries, police said.
Jesse B. Honaker, 38, is charged in Eau Claire County Court with a felony count of battery and two misdemeanor counts of bail jumping.
A $2,500 cash bail was set for Honaker, who returns to court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.
As conditions of bail, Honaker must maintain absolute sobriety and have no contact with the man.
According to the criminal complaint:
Eau Claire police were called Oct. 1 to Big T's Saloon, 2007 Third St., after a man was assaulted outside of the tavern.
An officer met with the man, who was extremely intoxicated and didn't seem to be aware of what was occurring.
A witness said the man was inside the tavern and left. The witness said he went outside a short time later and saw the man lying on the ground with significant facial injuries.
Surveillance video showed the man outside fighting with another man, who was identified as Honaker. He was arrested four days later.
Honaker was free on signature bonds for pending 2018 misdemeanor cases in both Eau Claire and Jackson counties.
