An Eau Claire woman is charged in federal court with five counts of distributing methamphetamine, one count of attempting to possess 50 grams or more of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
According to the indictment in Madison:
Sylvia Erickson, 40, committed the drug offenses between Nov. 12 and Jan. 7. She possessed a .380 handgun and ammunition on Nov. 20. She distributed at least 50 grams of methamphetamine on Jan. 7.
The charges against Erickson are the result of an investigation by the federal Drug Enforcement Administration, the West Central Drug Task Force, Eau Claire Police Department, Eau Claire and Chippewa County sheriff's offices and the state Justice Department's Division of Criminal Investigation.
