An Eleva man will spend six months in jail for his sixth drunken driving-related conviction since 1992.
Robert J. Kvapil Jr., 67, pleaded guilty recently in Eau Claire County Court to a felony count of sixth-offense operating with a prohibited blood alcohol content.
Judge Jon Theisen placed Kvapil on three years of probation and fined him $1,855.
As a condition of probation, Kvapil must maintain absolute sobriety.
According to the criminal complaint:
Kvapil was arrested July 3 following a traffic stop at Woodman Drive and Bluestern Boulevard in Altoona. His blood alcohol content was 0.102.
Kvapil was previously convicted of drunken driving in June 1992, May 1994 and October 1999 in Chippewa County, in April 2001 in Eau Claire County and in September 2011 in Dunn County.
