A Fairchild man is accused of having methamphetamine in his car within reach of his young child.
Anthony M. Shoemaker, 25, is charged in Eau Claire County Court with a felony count of possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor counts of neglecting a child and operating after revocation.
Shoemaker is free on a $500 signature bond, which requires him to maintain absolute sobriety.
Shoemaker returns to court Jan. 16.
According to the criminal complaint:
Police initiated a traffic stop of Shoemaker's vehicle at 7:45 p.m. Monday in Fairchild after a records check indicated his vehicle's registration was expired.
