The water level on Lake Altoona will start rising toward its usual summer elevation on April 29.

Lakefront homeowners have until April 28 to do improvements to their property along the water's edge, stated an Eau Claire County Parks & Forest Department news release.

Using dams along the Eau Claire River, it is expected to take a couple days to get the lake back up to its normal summer elevation of 801.7 feet, the news release indicated.
