The Eau Claire Area Economic Development Corp. has named Market & Johnson, a commercial contractor based in Eau Claire since 1948, as the winner of its Paragon Award for 2018.

"Market & Johnson contributed significantly to the Eau Claire area’s economy through several of their recent projects that enabled new business and job development to grow within the area, significant capital investment in their Eau Claire headquarters, and their continued commitment to philanthropic efforts in our community," read a news release from the Eau Claire Area EDC.

Market & Johnson has an annual construction volume of over $400 million and more than 400 employees. In 2018, it was involved in projects such as Haymarket Landing, River Prairie Events Center, Mills Fleet Farm, the new Drylock Technologies building and the Pablo Center at the Confluence. The company also completed a $5 million-plus expansion at its headquarters.
