OSSEO — A Trempealeau County man has been arrested on felony child abuse charges, according to the Osseo Police Department.

Mitchel Feyen, 23, was booked Tuesday into the county jail following an investigation by police and the county's Human Services Department into a case of suspected shaken baby syndrome.

Feyen's child was taken to the emergency room on Monday at Mayo Clinic Health System-Oakridge in Osseo with injuries sustained from possible child abuse, according to Osseo police. The child was then flown to a hospital in Rochester, Minn., for further treatment.

An Osseo police officer, a detective and a county social worker interviewed the child's parents at the Minnesota hospital. Feyen was arrested the following day.
