Daniel P. Lequia Sr.

Daniel P. Lequia, Sr., 70, of Eau Claire, died Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.

Dan was born February 18, 1948, in Escanaba, Michigan, the son of Paul and Joyce (Potter) Lequia.

On June 27, 1972, Dan married Janice Lancette at Holy Ghost Church in Chippewa Falls. He had worked at Pavelski’s, Lake Wissota Golf and High Shores Supper Club where he was a chef.

Dan loved cooking, canning, watching Western movies, reading, learning about history, watching the Brewers and Packers, and most of all, spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dan is survived by his wife, Janice; two sons, Daniel, Jr. (Angel) Lequia and Josh (Alisha) Lequia both of Chippewa Falls; one daughter, Patti Lequia of Eau Claire; two sisters, Jean (Greg) McDougal of Lake Havasu City, Ariz. and Mary (Dave Hewitt) Richey of Indian Lake, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Pete Lequia.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 9 at Zion Christian Fellowship located at 11555 35th Avenue in Chippewa Falls. Charlie Schafer will be officiating.
