Hazel Cook

Hazel Ellen Cook beloved mother of Douglas Cook and Sheila Rupprecht passed away peacefully at Chippewa Manor on Thursday, January 31, 2019 in Chippewa Falls.

Hazel was born on February 25, 1923 to Einar and Ethel (Koch) Jensen in Friendship, Wisconsin.

She was a kind and wise mother and friend, by reaching out to others in need and doing what she could to ease their suffering and pain. She always reminded us to live by faith not by fear, which she did daily. We will miss her terribly but we know she is with God and her wonderful husband, Laurence Cook, who she married on May 18, 1943.

Be at peace Mom. We love you always.

Thank you from our hearts to all of you who helped us through this: Sandy Conley, Rick, Abbey Van, Dove South, Chippewa Manor, ADRC, all of the doctors, nurses, rehab, and Mayo Home Health & Hospice.

She is survived by her sister, Janet and Jim Vorman; and nieces and nephews, Karen, Wanda, Lauren, Glenn, Dennis and Chris.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Laurence Cook; and Sister Carla.

Big Hugs to all.

Memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1314 E. Lexington Blvd., Eau Claire, WI 54701. There will be no visitation prior to the service at church.
