Llona Dell

Llona Mae Dell age 92 of Black River Falls, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 11, 2019.

Llona Mae was born on July 1st, 1926 to Lloyd and Susie Narron in Wausau, WI. She lived there with her parents and her sister Lois until the age of 5 when her father passed away. They then moved to Melrose and eventually Black River Falls, where they went to school.

Llona Mae met and married her first husband Clifford Olsen in Black River Falls in 1945. They had a daughter Victoria. Clifford passed away in 1959. Llona Mae fell in love with a man who thought she hung the moon, James Dell. They married June 30th, 1961. They had a son Jeffrey 1 year later. He passed away shortly after birth.

Llona Mae had many hobbies and interests. She was known for her amazing cooking and baking! Anyone who has ever tasted her many treats knows what I’m talking about. She was an active member of her church, where she sang in the choir, she was part of the sewing circle and was always baking something for someone at the church or for a bake sale. She was a member of the ladies VFW Auxiliary in Alma Center, she volunteered faithfully at the Pineview Nursing Home until she was physically unable to do so. She loved her time there. It brought her such joy! She was an amazing gardener who loved to play in the dirt. She was always canning or pickling something that came from her beautiful garden.

She loved the Brewers and was able to attend several games at Miller Park, which she simply adored. She was also a huge Vikings fan, in spite of that we all loved her anyway! And let’s not forget her love of her Barefoot Red Mascato wine and her French Vanilla cappuccino. It was always 5’oclock somewhere.

Llona Mae is survived by her daughter Victoria (Larry) Hessler of Eau Claire; granddaughter Traci (Curtiss) Anderson of Eau Claire; great-grandsons Andrew (Riley) Winrich of Eau Claire, Devyn Toman, USAF, Abilene, Texas; great-granddaughter Ashlyn Toman of Wausau ; and great great-grandson Nero Winrich of Eau Claire; brothers: Bob (Roma) Kidrick and John (Connie) Kidrick both of Westfield, Massachusetts. She is further survived by several nieces, nephews other relative and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Lloyd and Susie; sisters: Lois Harmon and Coleen Nichols; brothers: Willard and Gary Kidrick; her first husband Clifford and her beloved second husband James and their son Jeffrey.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks and heart felt gratitude to Llona’s nephew Jay Dee Nichols who did so much for Llona Mae, above and beyond anything we could have imagined. You are home now where you belong. Enjoy your time in the garden with grandpa, and maybe let him win a game or two of cribbage every now and then! We will hold you tight in our hearts until we meet again. We love you so much.
