Shirley Davis, age 76, passed away on December 1, 2018, at Grace Edgewood in Altoona, WI.
Shirley was born on July 13, 1942, in Ashland, WI, to Frances and Inga (nee Nelson) Sabin. Shirley married Franklin Davis on July 6, 1991, in Eau Clare, WI.
Shirley was a beautician and operated her own beauty shop. She had the knack of meeting or seeing people and saying we have to do something with your hair.
Shirley enjoyed life to the fullest; she enjoyed dancing, and along with her husband she enjoyed going to Spiritual Concerts. They also made several trips to Branson, MO, enjoying the country music performances, making the trip sometimes twice a year.
She loved decorating her home throughout the year, of which the Christmas Season was very special.
She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and others, and in her spare time shopping was at the top of her list.
Shirley is survived by her husband Franklin of 27 years; two sons: Shawn and (Lisa) Bennett of Eau Claire, and Brian Bennett of Altoona; two sisters: Gerry and (Jack) Holby of Grandview, WI, and Elaine Farrel of Casa Grand, AZ; three grandchildren: Cheslea and (Tiegan) Brock of Chippewa Falls, WI, Breanna Bennett of Eau Claire, and James Bennett of Altoona; four special friends: Jean Ann, Barb, Ruth Ann and Betty; along with many other relatives and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; a son Steve Bennett; and a brother-in-law Lowell Farrel.
A service of celebration for Shirley will be held at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona, on Friday December 7, 2018, at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour before the time of service.
