The Eau Claire North boys and Eau Claire Area girls received No. 1 seeds in their respective prep hockey playoff brackets.

The North boys are the top seed in their sectional, followed by Eau Claire Memorial at No. 2. Hayward is the No. 3 seed, while Chippewa Falls comes in at No. 4.

RAM is the No. 8 seed and will host No. 9 Medford on February 12.

North and Memorial both received first-round byes. North will face the winner of the game between RAM and Medford, while Memorial gets the winner of seventh-seeded Rice Lake vs. No. 10 Team SEaL. Rice Lake hosts Team SEaL on February 12.

Chippewa Falls hosts Marshfield in its playoff opener on February 14.

In sectional No. 1, Baldwin-Woodville received the No. 3 seed while Menomonie is No. 8. Menomonie hosts the ninth-seeded Northwest Icemen on February 12. Baldwin-Woodville faces Amery on February 14. Superior is the top seed, and reigning state champion Hudson is the No. 2.

On the girls side, defending state champion Eau Claire Area will have a first-round bye. The Stars will play the winner of the game between Somerset and Hayward in their playoff opener.

Hudson is the No. 2 seed. Chippewa Falls/Menomonie received the No. 6 seed, and will hit the road to take on third-seeded St. Croix Valley in the first round on February 15.
