Cadott’s Brady Spaeth, James Pfeiffer and Ethan Tegels all won titles in their respective weight class as the Hornets placed fourth as a team at the Ellsworth Invitational on Saturday.
Spaeth took the crown at 160 pounds, while Pfeiffer won at 170 and Tegels at 182. Tegels defeated Spring Valley/Elmwood’s Kenny Fesenmaier in a 3-0 decision in the championship match, while Spaeth won by technical fall and Pfeiffer by major decision.
Rush City Invitational: Rice Lake’s Carter Paulson and Callub Paulson won individual titles at 160 and 170 pounds, respectively.
Black River Falls Invitational: Regis/Altoona’s Payton Kostka won the title at 152 pounds, while Ladysmith’s Trent Vollendorf was the champion at 126 pounds. Dakota Hoffmann of Bruce won the 195-pound bracket, and Durand’s Cody Gilbertson was runner-up at 220.
John Timm Duals: Bloomer/Colfax took third place after going 3-2 in duals on the day.
Chippewa Falls 1, Antigo 1 (OT): Sawyer Bowe scored the lone goal for the Cardinals in a tie. Jaden Hoople made 36 saves.
Neenah 3, Memorial 2: Max Savaloja and Gunnar Leary scored for the Old Abes.
Chippewa Falls/Menomonie 7, Northland Pines 3: Sidney Polzin scored four goals to help keep Chippewa Falls/Menomonie unbeaten on the season.
Chloe Beaudette scored and tallied two assists while Caroline O’Dell made 18 saves for Chippewa Falls/Menomonie, which improved to 3-0-1.
Onalaska 65, Chippewa Falls 56: Nolan Hutzler scored 18 pointsthanks to six 3-pointers for the Cardinals, and Tyler Robarge chipped in with 12.
