Eau Claire Memorial senior Zak Sather took 16 seconds off his sectional time from a year ago at the same course and teammate Scout Stokes was also in the top five as the Old Abes took second with an overall team time at the Menomonie Relays cross country meet Saturday with a combined time of 86:04.

George Bond and Tony Weeks paced each other as the Raiders duo finished 3-4 to lead Hudson to the team title.

The Raiders girls also took the relay win with Rachel Ball winning the girls race.

Menomonie’s Paige Anderson lead the Mustangs’ to a second-place finish.

Macks win home invite

The Chippewa Falls McDonell volleyball team won the Debbie Rosler Memorial Invitational on Saturday in Chippewa Falls. 

The Macks beat Loyal, Osseo-Fairchild, Cameron and Greenwood to win the title. 

Rachel Smiskey had 34 kills on the day, while teammate Carly Jenson had 33. Maggie Craker dished out 111 assists.
