Urlaub leads US jumpers

Andrew Urlaub enjoyed a successful Grand Prix (World Cup) ski jumping weekend at Rasnov, Romania. The 21-year-old Flying Eagle placed 13th Saturday to score 20 Grand Prix points. He had jumps of 91.5 and 93 meters (301 and 305 feet) to finish ahead of teammate Decker Dean, who placed 17th. In a follow-up new Super Team competition, which includes two jumpers from the same nation taking three jumps each, Urlaub led the U.S. to a strong seventh-place finish among 13 teams with efforts of 89, 92 and 91.5 meters (292, 302,301 feet) for 337.6 total points. Dean tallied 327 points. Austria won the event.
